The 2017 Gladney Cup at The Country Club

Benefiting the Gladney Center for Adoption, The Gladney Cup has been a golfing tradition for the past 17 years.  Having raised over $8 million to help build families, The Cup Board of Governors has continued to find ways to grow the golfing experience while supporting the cause of Adoption.  On September 25, 2017 The Cup will experience The Country Club in Brookline, MA.  This historic club was one of the original founding members of the USGA and offers 27 championship holes of golf.

The Country Club

Despite what you may think, the Country Club’s name isn’t based on arrogance. The club was the first country club in the United States, starting as an equestrian and social club. Even after its conversion to golf, the course had a boost in national popularity after local Francis Ouimet beat British golf pros Harry Vardon and Ted Ray in the 1913 US Open. The course has been selected to host the 2022 US Open.  During past US Open tournaments, The Country Club has utilized all three nines to make the event as challenging as possible.
